Proof of current address and picture ID are required to request food assistance. Proof of address can be the most recent month’s rent receipt or utility bill, eviction notice, or government document (nothing over 60 days). First-time clients may be served on their first visit, but their address must be verified every time they come.
At each visit, bring a picture ID, proof of residency, Social Security cards or birth certificates for everyone in the household, and if possible proof of income. A short interview/assessment determines the client’s needs.
