All vehicles must enter through the back gate on W 29th Avenue to pick up food. We will conduct a brief registration in our food line for your first distribution. After this, you will be required to provide additional information to determine if you are eligible for our program. We are open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am – 12noon. You will be asked a few self-identification questions as part of your first visit. There is no need to bring documentation on your first visit. At the distribution station you will be asked to remain in your car. Our volunteers will load the boxes in your vehicle. Please make sure you have adequate space available for 2 boxes of food. Our Staple Box averages 35lbs of shelf stable food, and contents of our Lagniappe Box varies with fresh and frozen items.
Northshore Food Bank is truly a community food bank. Supported by the generosity of businesses, civic organizations, and individuals, the food bank serves the needs of the most vulnerable in our community. Northshore Food Bank serves the Northshore and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Northshore Food Bank provides food assistance to more than 300 individuals and families each week who live at or below the 200% federal poverty guidelines and have found themselves in need within our community. Individuals can receive a minimum of 40 lbs. of food every month and families can receive a minimum of 70 lbs. of shelf stable food each month. Recipients also receive what we call a “lagniappe” box, which is filled with dairy products, fresh produce, and frozen proteins.
