About This Pantry
<p>Founded in 1989 by a group of neighbors, North Helpline began by providing emergency aid in response to food and housing insecurity in our community. North Helpline has become a pillar of comprehensive food access and homelessness prevention services in North King County, delivering direct support to thousands of neighbors each year.</p><p>Currently North Helpline operates two foodbanks located at 33rd and 130th in Lake City, and in Bitter Lake on Linden St across from the community center. We are committed to serving all of our neighbors with our food access and client services programs. The foodbank in Lake City is open on Wednesdays from 9:00-1:45, Thursdays from 4:00 to 6:45, and Saturdays at both locations from 9:00 to 1:45. Our in-person foodbanks offer fresh produce, proteins, dairy, and shelf stable goods as well as diapers, baby formula, and menstrual and incontinence products. Our Client Service programs offer Rental Assistance, Utility Assistance, and a Community Connector who can help connect our neighbors to other local resources. </p>
