<p><a href="http://https//metrocaring.org/">Visit the Metro Caring Website</a>&nbsp;to learn more about program offerings.</p><p>Metro Caring works with our community to meet people's immediate needs for nutritious, culturally relevant foods while building a movement to end hunger at its root causes.</p><p><strong><a href="http://metrocaring.org/services/fresh-foods-market/">Visit the Fresh Foods Marke</a>t</strong></p><p><strong></strong>Our Fresh Foods Market is a free grocery store with nutritious foods available to our community.<strong> Appointments are required, but you do not need any identification, proof of need, or documentation to make a shopping appointment.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>We prioritize stocking our shelves with fresh produce, meats, and dairy products. Most of our food is donated by local grocers, organizations, and individuals. Therefore, inventory in the Fresh Foods Market changes daily. We also purchase the most-needed items from local Colorado producers, especially from farmers and ranchers who are Black, Indigenous, Latine, people of color, women, or first-generation producers.</p><p><em>Need food now?</em> We have a limited selection of ready-to-eat foods in our Grab &amp; Go section. No appointment necessary. Just come in when we’re open.&nbsp;</p><strong><a href="http://metrocaring.org/services/id-vouchers/">In-State ID &amp; Birth Certificate Vouchers</a></strong><p>Metro Caring has in-state vouchers that can be used to redeem a free Colorado identification or birth certificate at the appropriate offices. We have a limited amount each opening time, which are available first-come, first-serve. Vouchers are distributed on certain days. No appointment necessary.</p><p><strong>ID Vouchers: </strong>Tuesdays only</p><p><strong>Colorado Birth Certifications: </strong>Monday through Thursday</p><p><strong>DMV2GO: </strong>On site the first Wednesday of the month</p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline"><a href="https://metrocaring.org/services/community-connections/">Community Connectors</a></span></strong><p>Hunger is often a complex situation, and social services can be hard to navigate. Metro Caring Community Connectors are available to help community members access the most effective and culturally accessible resources possible to address the barriers they are experiencing. Connectors can refer you to partner organizations that provide rental and utility assistance, housing support, mental health care, re-entry support programs, and clothing. We are a referring partner with A Precious Child, which provides various baby and child needs. No appointment necessary. <strong>Walk in and ask to speak with a Community Connector.</strong></p><p><strong><a href="https://metrocaring.org/nutrition/">Nutrition Programs</a></strong><strong></strong></p><p>Through cooking clubs and health classes, our nutrition programs build community and sharpen skills to manage health conditions impacted by hunger, like diabetes and heart disease. Our kitchen is a place where a love for healthy cooking can grow and be shared.&nbsp;<strong>All classes, clubs, and programs are free to all!
