<p>LifeSource helps people facing hunger and poverty by providing a hand up not just a handout through the services they offer. These services are outlined below:</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Food Pantry:</span></strong> allows families to receive groceries every 31 days including a protein, pasta/rice, bread, dessert and produce (if available). </p><p><strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline">Clothing Pantry:</span></strong> allows families to receive clothing and shoes if needed. Each family member is permitted to choose 3 clothing items per family member per visit.</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Kid's Life After-School:</span></strong> assists working families with after-school childcare, providing tutoring and mentoring assistance for elementary and middle school children. This includes help with homework and/or help with basic math and reading skills. During free time, mentors play games, color, and interact with the children, serving as positive role models. Each child is also served with a healthy snack. This service is provided at no cost to families.</p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Kid's Life Summer Day Camp:</span></strong> assists working families in need with 8-weeks of structured, fun programing for their elementary and middle school children. Each child is served breakfast, lunch and 2 nutritional snacks. Recreational and team building activities are typically taught in the morning with educational and character-building activities taking place in the afternoon. Weekly field trips to the library, local farms, aquatic center, nature parks, museums, etc. Children also learn the basics of gardening throughout the summer as they grow a community garden. Families pay $25 administrative fee for each child with a maximum charge of $75 per family.</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Senior Citizen Outreach Meals:</span> </strong>assist seniors (age 60+) with a homecooked meal every 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. It also gives them an opportunity for fellowship. An additional take-home meal and/or groceries are provided.</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Adult Education Classes/Workshops</span></strong> assists adults in gaining needed life and work skills to increase their chances of gaining better job opportunities.</p><p><strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline">Counseling Services:</span> </strong>assists families in need with mental health therapy for adults and children on a sliding fee scale. Services are provided by licensed counselors and student interns.</p>
