You must be a resident of the state of Indiana. You must meet income guidelines found here on our CLIENT FORM. Come to the Food Pantry during our open FOOD DISTRIBUTION HOURS. HCFP personnel will enter your information into our computer. Each client household is eligible to shop in our Pantry twice every calendar month.
Our pantry is drive through only and all clients must stay in their vehicle. Drive your vehicle through the parking lot and enter the car line. Volunteers provide a form for new clients to complete. Once form is complete, the client drives forward and the vehicle is loaded with food by our volunteers.
The Hancock County Food Pantry’s mission is to secure and distribute food to the needy in an effort to alleviate hunger in Hancock County and beyond. We serve residents of Hancock County, and all of Indiana, who meet government minimum income guidelines during seven weekly open hours. We are a 100% volunteer organization with over 150 volunteers and governed by a Board of Directors who meet monthly. The Food Pantry secures food and non-food essentials (toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc.) through purchases and donations.
