Garfield STEM Community School

The Garfield STEM Magnet & Community School on-site pantry was established on our campus in January of 2016.  The school is the first middle school in NM nationally recognized as a Magnet School of America School of Distinction.  We are also a New Mexico PED Community School.  This means that we believe in serving the whole child by eliminating or limiting the effects of the barriers to learning for the student and their family.  Rather than sending a backpack home for the student, we send home enough food to prepare several meals for the whole family.  We are generally able to serve a significant amount of produce along with some staples and protein rich products.
