To qualify, you must live in East Bell County, Texas. New clients are asked to bring a photo ID and/or proof of residence on their first visit, if possible. Clients may pick up groceries from CTLC once each month. All assistance is free. To participate, clients line up in their cars beginning on 13th Street and progress to the front of our building at 702 W. Avenue G, where they are checked in by volunteers. Once qualified, they drive to the side parking lot, where volunteers load the groceries into the client's cars.
Commodity Program distributes USDA Food Box for clients over 60 years old who qualify.
Though we live in a land of plenty, there are many families in Bell County who do not have enough to eat. CTLC food pantry provides food assistance to more than 2,000 low-income households each month by gathering surplus food from local grocers and using donations to buy food for hungry families.
